In 1994, the Scuola Grande of the Archconfraternity of Saint Roch created the “Saint Roch Prize”, which consists of a gold medal, given on 16 August every year on the occasion of the Feast of Saint Roch, to people who distinguish themselves in the assistance of the sick and the needy.
