Saint Roch School, founded in 1478 1nd soon recognized by the Consiglio dei Dieci della Serenissima, in 1485 got the relic of Saint Roch' body.
Between 1517 and 1549 it moved to a new location, which is one of the most famous and charming buildings of the city and which preserves the amazing pictorial repertory of Tintoretto. The Saint Roch School, obtaining in 1789 by Pio VI the title of Arciconfraternita, has continued uninterruptedly its activity until these days.
